Interview Room
So, here I sit, in an interview room at work, waiting for my STUPID interview to answer her phone. I like to leave a voicemail and give them about 5-10 minutes, then call back. That gives me a good opportunity to look at websites like this one and basically just not work. Anyway, Lauren your blog is super cute. I can't promise I will always join in on craft night... I appreciate a good craft, but the craft part of craft corner at Camp Happy (me and Raeanne's house) is all Raeanne. I really just wanted a desk and it seemed to work. But, I will host a cooking session or something else I might be able to think of.... possibly wood working.... who knows. But good luck with your idea and I'll join in when I can!

Hey, Super Fun Craft Time
I started my weekend with a massive trip to Archivers and Michaels.
One of my finds- super cute mushroom stamp...
So lovely!
They are super cute Owl Cards from the Handmade Hello book. This book is so great and has all of these wonderful templates in the back. Unfortunately, someone browsing the book, also thought the owl cards were super cute- because someone apparently swiped the owl template. In the words of michelle tanner- how rude!
But no worries- I made my own. I think the proportions on the head triangle piece and the beak might be a little off. That's what a test run is for.

So, here's the deal
Inspired By: Meg's genius Beastie Boys reference (so what if the song is about skanks?!); Love of boozin' and crafting; the new Raeanne/Sarah craft corner, and all the newly purchased Craft Books ( thanks Michelle!)
What is it??: A monthly(or more, depending on our mood) meet up where ladies gather, drink, craft, eat, gossip, and maybe even learn something new.
How does it work:
Here is my idea. Every month we take turns hosting a craft night shin dig. That means, every month the host, the location, and the crafting topic changes. The host is responsible for choosing the craft topic of the night. You can teach us something you are good at- or we can all boldly try something new together. For example- if someone can teach me how to knit- that would be really rad. Each member of the craft crew is responsible for bringing your own supplies to the party.
And who knows- if it devolves into us just brining our own crafty projects and hanging out every month... that's cool with me too.
And what's with this blog:
Basically, I really like the idea of the blog. We can use it to communicate with each other between meetings. Every time someone new joins the crew, I will give them authoring privileges on the blog. That way, when it is your turn to host- you can post your own invitation via the blog! That way, we can all have time to gather any necessary supplies ahead of time. Ah- mazing!
hello world!

welcome to first post on the craft club blog!
Basically, i thought this would be a good way for us to keep informed about meetings and post silly things to assume each other while we are at work : )
More to come later...i am pretty blog illiterate, so i need to do some researching here.
I'll post soon about our inaugural meeting. when, where, what and all that good stuff!

Ps- Putting that huge picture of me was really just a test on seeing how to post pictures. then, i couldn't figure out how to delete it. Sorry for the massive picture of me.
